Even as transit media acts as the growth engine of Indian OOH industry, most transit media concessionaries are seen to be contracting business directly from the advertising clients, rather than through the specialist agencies. Suresh Balakrishna, Chief Revenue Officer of The Hindu Group will address this issue in his presentation on the theme of ‘‘What steps will help transit media operators get more business from agencies’ at the 2nd Transit Media Talks conference to be held at Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai on February 6, 2020.
Suresh has been with The Hindu since November 2018. Prior to joining the Hindu, he was the CEO, South Asia and Middle East of Kinetic Advertising India. Suresh comes with 30 years of experience in the media and advertising industry. He has worked in organisations such as Lintas Media Group, India Today Group, Zee Telefilms Limited, Hindustan Times and The Times of India.
He frequently addresses seminars, guest lectures at institutes such as MICA Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, Kolkata and Shillong etc. and was adjunct faculty at Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication for a brief period. Suresh has also developed and conducted specific training modules for media houses in India and abroad.
He was the only Indian media industry representative invited to the United Nations as a part of the Leadership Council for the 4th Annual “Media for Social Impact” Summit, held at the United Nations in NYC on September 14, 2017.
