Pune MC mandates strict vigilance to root out illegal media structures
Media owners to now submit media structure stability reports every year
After the Pune hoarding mishap, Pune Municipal Corporation is taking major steps to prevent such hazards. The PMC Skysign & License Department has issued a strict mandate to its staff and media owners with regard to illegal media structures. The department has issued orders to conduct fortnightly surveys by the ward officers whereby they will be submitting the reports. Secondly, instead of once in two years, now the media owners will have to submit the structure stability report every year mentioning the actual status of structures and their durability, said Vijay Dahibate, Deputy Commissioner of Zone 1, PMC Skysign & License department in an exclusive conversation with Media4Growth.
Also, the civic authority has begun to conduct a drive to demolish the unauthorised structures that are there in the city wherein 25-30 structures have been removed until Friday last. And the FIR will also be filed against the illegal site traders, informed Vijay.
