DMRC to advise on Rapid Metro operations

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will be functioning as a consultant to the Rapid Metro Gurgaon in the area of operations including that of advertising revenues. Stating this in an exclusive interview to Media4Growth, A K Garg, Director – Operations, DMRC, said, that DMRC will be offerings its suggestions on Rapid Metro achieving greater operational efficiency, but this role shall not extend into managing the network’s profit & loss, business model, ticket pricing and other matters that are the prerogative of the Haryana government.

The Haryana government is expected to submit an application to the Punjab and Haryana High Court today seeking an extension of the deadline for taking over the operations of Rapid Metro by DMRC that is to be completed by tomorrow.

As per media reports, the documentation is taking time and for a smooth transition a few days’ work is required.
