ChargInChargIn, a start-up providing transit mobile phone charging solution, has partnered with Indian Railways to install digital mobile charging kiosks at the Ahmedabad Railway station. As per the deal, the solution providing company will be installing 15 kiosks- 3 in waiting room and the rest on the platforms for the convenience of travelers. Each kiosk with multiple charging plug-in options also offers advertising opportunity with 32 inches LED screens to display an advertisement or any other branded promotional content. The kiosk also comprises an interactive screen for payment gateways, a bar code scanner, money acceptor and receipt provider.

This is ChargIn’s first ever partnership with Indian Railways, which they plan to expand by taking the public utility format to other zones as well. The contract has been awarded for 3 years which is slated to inaugurate on 15 August by the DRM officer of the station.

“This new format has become the necessity for everyone in today’s fast-moving era, especially while traveling. Hence this turns out to be a smart advertising format as it provides approximately 32 minutes of dwell time which a person spends while charging,” shares Mehul Shukla, CEO of ChargIn, who is also manufacturing these kiosks.

The company, started in 2017, is receiving positive response from the client side, with brands like JIO, Vivo, Oppo, and Bank of Baroda already leveraging this format.
