NR Delhi division to re-tender rights on WiFi hotspot, plastic bottle crushing units
Due to non-participation from the industry, the authority will retender both properties with minor changes in the terms
The Delhi Division of Northern Railway is planning to re-tender the rights on two advertising properties i.e. WiFi HotSpot & Content on Demand (Multimedia Entertainment) system in Gatimaan, Shatabdi & Rajdhani Express Trains of Delhi Division and installation of bottle crushing machine at the railway station along with advertising rights on machine.
Both these tenders were scheduled to open on November 15, but due to non-participation from the industry, both the tenders have been nullified. Confirmed by the DRM official of Delhi Division, the tenders will be floated again with some minor changes in the terms.
The first tender included Commercial Advertisement Rights through provision of WiFi HotSpot & Content on Demand (Multimedia Entertainment) system in Gatimaan & Shatabdi Express Trains and Rajdhani Express Trains of Delhi Division, which included 21 trains out of which 8 were Rajadhani Express. According to the tender, for the installation of bottle crushing machine at railway stations along with the advertising rights on machine, the companies would have to install the machines and arrange for disposal of collected plastic at various stations.
