Rohan Ekbote, GM, Vodafone Idea joins OAA 2023 jury

Rohan Ekbote, General Manager, Vodafone Idea Limited, has joined the esteemed jury for the Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) 2023 contest. 

With over 15 years of experience, Rohan has worked with both agencies – during his time at Mudra and Madison World – as well as brands, that exemplify his deep experience in the media and advertising world.

While speaking of OAA, Rohan believes that it not only promotes creativity, but also helps drive business forward. “The OAA contest is a meaningful tool to recognise the creativity, effectiveness and the power of OOH as a medium. In my view, this also supports other brands to think beyond regular ads and similarly gives understanding from various categories to use the medium in far more effective and creative ways. And it also helps to drive more business in general”. 

An expert in delivering integrated marketing solutions, Rohan combines creative thinking with data to develop effective media strategies that not only use innovative communications, but are also in line with the brand’s identity and objectives. 

When asked about his expectations from this year’s awards, Rohan told Media4Growth, “The last one year has seen a comeback from various advertisers and categories as life has come back to normal post 2020. Hence, advertising on outdoor medium is back in full swing. Therefore, the expectations are slightly higher than last year as I hope to see more creativity, innovative solutions, execution and implementation strategies, ROI, and measurable impact”. 

While speaking about his previous experience as an OAA Jury member, Rohan says, “Last year was my first time being a part of the jury and it gave me an immense understanding of various innovative formats and ways to explore outdoor advertising”.
