Network Media Solutions boards Mumbai Metro with audio advertising

The OOH firm is offering audio advertising on board the Metro trains

Network Media Solutions, having already introduced audio advertising on board Mumbai’s suburban trains, now offers a similar advertising option on Mumbai Metro One trains. The OOH firm has entered into a 4-year agreement for the same with Reliance that operates the metro rail network.

Mumbai Metro One ferries 4.5 lakh passengers daily that comprises students, working professionals and others – these audiences have an average dwell time of over 20 minutes on board a train on a single trip.

Commenting on this new advertising opportunity, Ajaz Memon, the Managing Director of Network Media Solutions LLP said, “There are 12 stations on this network from Versova to Ghatkopar. On this transport system, about 76% of the commuters fall in the 18-34 age group, and 24% of the travellers are estimated to be in key positions in their respective organisations.” These numbers suggest that the Metro rail media has a lot to offer to the advertising brands.

The audio ads are packaged into 10 day, 15 day, 20 day and 30 day campaigns. The cost varies between Rs 2 lakh to Rs 7 lakh, depending on the package.

As of now, the Mumbai Metro line 1 rail network has 15 trains operating and the audio jingles are set to play on all trains. “We can engage three advertisers on each train set and the jingles of each advertiser will play three times in a single trip. A brand’s jingle will thus play 90 times a day. The medium is able to target 1,35,00,000 travellers for a brand each month, giving multi-crore impressions,” said Ajaz.
