IOAA maintains I&B Ministry should have consulted industry before preparing new Outdoor Publicity guidelines

By M4G Bureau - March 11, 2021

The apex association is planning to submit with ministry outdoor industry’s feedback on the new policy

Indian Outdoor Advertising Association (IOAA) has expressed its disappointment over the outdoor publicity guidelines recently released by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for Bureau of Outreach and Communications. The apex OOH body maintains in its letter to the ministry that the policy was prepared and made public without any consultation with the OOH industry bodies. “A draft policy, seeking our views, and the views of other state level associations and other industry members, would have been in order”.

It is learnt that the industry body is obtaining feedback on the policy from its members, and those will also be forwarded to the ministry for the consideration of the policy makers, by April 5.
