SDMC finalises on South Delhi unipoles

In a recently-closed tender, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has awarded all unipoles spread across 30 clusters of 3 zones to media owners like Outdoor Communications Pvt Ltd, Mohan Media, Media Shop, Quantum Outdoor, Shine Arts and few more. In the south zone, Nelson Mandela Marg to Vasant Kunj T Point has been awarded to Hindustan Publicity while Aurobindo Marg, Green Park and MG Road Lado Sarai have been given to Outdoor Communications Pvt Ltd. All About Outdoor has won the rights for the stretch between Delhi and Gurgaon, under Najafgarh zone. Sine Arts has won the rights for unipoles on Dwarka Flyover while all unipoles inside Dwarka have been given to Media Shop. Quantum Outdoor has been awarded the stretch between Captain Gaur Marg to Lajpat Nagar T Point while Shine Arts will be responsible for the unipoles between Mayapuri Flyover to Punjabi Bagh Flyover and inside West Delhi.

Commenting on the result of the tender, Ganesh Mysa, Director, Outdoor Communications Pvt Ltd., said, "Since we are stepping forward towards legal practices, there is a lot of things to hope for. However, rates should have been friendlier. While average acquisition cost even 3 years back was around INR 2 lakh only, now it's been upgraded to INR 4.5-5 lakh which is as good as our selling rate.”
