Union Bank of India has embarked on the journey of imparting digital literacy among the senior citizens of the country. On December 8, the bank, touted as one of the leading technologically driven financial institutions in the country, organised the first digital banking awareness campaign at Nana Nani Park, Chowpatty in Mumbai - especially designed for senior citizens.

The park is frequented by over 150 senior citizens every morning and a 3-hour training session was organised for them by the bank to educate them on the benefits of digital banking.

The participants were taken through various Union Bank digital applications, namely DigiPurse, UMobile & UPI (Unified Payment Interface).  The endeavor was aimed at minimising the gap between old and young in the digital world and help senior citizens graduate to the digital banking system.

Ideated and executed by Rapport, the OOH agency of IPG Mediabrands India, the second leg of this campaign will take place in Delhi NCR.
