Godrej LOCKSS gives wheels to innovation

Godrej Locking Solutions and Systems created an experience zone in form of a van known as 'Innovation on Wheels - where technology meets design' to give their customers an enriching experience.

Godrej Locking Solutions and Systems wanted their shoppers to experience their innovative range of products through their new experience zone. Created by RC&M, the experience zone is a van that travels around the country to reach out to their target audience who consist of key architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, retailers and customers.

Shyam Motwani, Executive VP & Business Head, Godrej Locking Solutions and System said, "The desire expressed by our target audience was to have a set-up at one place, to experience our entire range of products, and make their purchase decisions based on this. At the same time, setting up an experience centre in a city at one place would not only limit the reach, but also not guarantee the visits of the target audience. Thus, we felt the need for a Mobile Experience Centre in India to showcase our innovative range of products.”

The experience centre showcases state-of-the-art technology and design led innovative products and solutions. The product range has been kept taking into consideration the requirements of the target group and their needs. Godrej Locking Solutions and Systems has displayed some of Godrej LOCKSS unique product ranges in the experience centre which include; new mortise designer handles, architectural and glass hardware range, master key and common key systems, pull handles and automatic door operator, futuristic knock n'lock range, electronic and hotel card locks, and new range of main door locks and interconnecting doors are on display.

RC&M is a marketing consultancy specializing in experiential marketing and communication who has created the experience zone. Speaking on this, Shyam Motwani that, "Their considerable knowledge of regions - rural, semi-urban and urban - and reach in the diverse markets across India, as well as understanding of distinct demographics of consumers across the country have redefined the paradigms of the experiential marketing industry.”

The Mobile Experience Centre was inaugurated in Kochi on April 10, 2013. Till date it has covered Kochi, Trivandrum, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. It is further slated to cover Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Bhubneshwar, Baroda, Surat, Raipur, Jalandhar, Trivandrum, Vizag, Coimbatore, Mangalore, Nashik, Udaipur during the span of one year.

The activation scheduled per city varies from 5 to 7 days, depending upon the plan laid down by the regional sales force and visits made by the target customers. Adding that the initiative has garnered positive results, Shyam Motwani says, "At Godrej LOCKSS, we constantly endeavor to anticipate the needs of our consumers and meet them. This activity will further strengthen our brand equity and also showcase our capability in the Mortise and Architectural Hardware Segment.”Further adding on similar lines he says, "The response has been excellent.
