Azazul Haque, CCO, Media.Monks to Co-Chair OAA 2024 Jury

In a remarkably distinguished career, Azazul has worked with the top advertising agencies and brands that include Lintas Group, Bates, Publicis, Lowe, Mudra, McCann, Contract, Nescafe, Coke, Nestle Maggi, Domino’s Pizza, Dabur, Maruti Suzuki, Havells, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Auto, Star Plus, Milton, MP Tourism and Rajasthan Tourism.

The much-anticipated annual OOH Advertising Awards (OAA) contest, formerly known as Outdoor Advertising Awards, will soon be open for entries. Like every year, the OAA entries will be judged by a Jury comprising highly accomplished brand marketers and creative professionals.

Azazul Haque, Chief Creative Officer, Media.Monks will once again be Co-Chairing the OAA contest, having played that key part in the OAA 2024 contest.

In a remarkably distinguished career, Azazul has worked with the top advertising agencies and brands. He started his career with Lintas Group back in 2001. Since then, he has worked with Bates, Publicis, Lowe, Mudra, McCann, Contract and Mediamonks on brands like Nescafe, Coke, Nestle Maggi, Domino’s Pizza, Dabur, Maruti Suzuki, Havells, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Auto, Star Plus, Milton, MP Tourism and Rajasthan Tourism.

Speaking about his experience of Co-Chairing OAA 2023, Azazul tells Media4Growth: “It was an eye-opener for me as I didn't know of the possibilities OOH offers today. Innovations and integration of technology offer a huge opportunity for creating highly engaging OOH campaigns. So, personally I was bowled over by the entries. The judging process was extremely transparent and because the Jury members came from varied field, it brought an extremely balanced judgment on every entry.”

Azazul is credited with successful campaigns like ‘Khushiyon ki home delivery’ and ‘Yeh hai rishto ka time’ for Dominos, Madhya Pradesh Tourism campaigns, which won accolades at Cannes, One Show, Spikes, D&AD, Titan Raga #FlauntYourFlaw, Rajasthan Tourism 'Jaane Kya Dikh Jaaye', Satyamev Jayate campaign with Aamir Khan, Amazon- Chonkpur Cheetahs, Milton, Tata Tea Premium Desh ki Chai, India's biggest hyper local campaign etc.

In 2016, Azazul was elevated to Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy South thus becoming the youngest CCO in India then. MP Tourism’s ‘Toy’ campaign won a D&AD Graphite pencil and MP Tourism’s ‘The world most honest tourism film’ won a Silver and a Bronze Cannes Lion in 2017-2018. The same year Amazon IPL campaign ‘Chonkpur Cheetahs’ won a Gold at Effies and a Blue Elephant At Kyoorious. It even won a Silver at APAC Effies. In 2018 he was chosen the South Asia Creative Person of the year (Runners Up) by Campaign magazine. His creative supervision has won many awards including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Kyoorious, Effies, APAC Effies and WARC.
