Planet Advertising bags rights on cycle shelters cluster

The rights cover 9 cycle shelters and have been awarded to Planet Advertising for a period of 7 years; the firm will be required to maintain the infrastructure, and run the operations

OOH firm Planet Advertising has bagged the ad rights on a cluster of cycle stands awarded by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC). Prem Shankar Jha, Deputy Commissioner, SDMC, told Media4Growth that the rights covering 9 cycle shelters have been awarded to Planet Advertising for a period of 7 years. The firm will be required to maintain the infrastructure, and run the operations.

For the first time, the contract also allows for branding of individual cycles at the cycle shelters.

Additionally, a mobile compatible GPS system will be designed to track the cycles on the move.

The company has been handling this format for quite some time in Delhi where they introduced Planet Green Bikes & Cycle Shelters along with Sub Shelters forming a network all over Delhi where people can hire bicycles. The larger objective is to encourage people to use cycles, in order to promote an eco-friendly environment in Delhi.
