Zepto brings Bappa’s favourite messenger to the seafront

Every Ganesh Chaturthi, homes across the city fill up with wishes — some spoken out loud during aarti, some kept quiet in the heart, hoping Bappa hears them anyway. This year, Zepto and GO DESi decided those wishes needed a little help getting there faster. And who better to carry them than Mooshakraj, Ganpati’s own loyal ride, known for going wherever he’s needed, as fast as he’s needed to? 

Right by the Mumbai seafront, a larger-than-life cutout of Mooshakraj was set up, dressed in his festive best, complete with a jewelled headpiece and a warm, familiar smile. But it was his ear that stole the show. Oversized, tilted forward, and impossible to ignore, it seemed to be waiting for something. A little sign nearby explained it all: whisper your wish into Mooshakraj’s ear, and he’ll make sure it reaches Bappa in minutes. 

At the base of the installation sat everything a household actually needs to prepare for the festival, like modak boxes, prasad, and puja essentials, all neatly arranged. The placement tried to make a clear point that while Mooshakraj takes care of your wishes, Zepto takes care of everything else on your list, delivering festive essentials in minutes. 

There was no big sales pitch or heavy branding here. Just a mouse with big ears, a festival full of hope, and a simple reminder that sometimes, the smallest gestures like a wish, a smile, or a quick delivery are what make celebrations feel special.
