Claire’s pierces a billboard in New York
In New York City, a massive billboard was turned into a canvas for oversized 3D earrings.
Everyone remembers where they got their ears pierced. For a lot of people, that place is Claire’s. This time, instead of reminding people of that through a campaign line or a product shot, Claire’s decided to do something far more direct: wear the jewellery itself.
In New York City, a massive billboard was turned into a canvas for oversized 3D earrings. A gleaming gold hoop curls off one corner like it’s been slipped through the board. A star stud sits mid-air, catching the light. A sparkling stone glints near the top, and a dangling drop earring hangs off the edge, swaying the way a real earring would.

In the background, the phrase “Pierced at Claire’s” repeats over and over in soft, layered type, almost like an echo building up. And then, right in the centre, the same phrase appears bold and clear – as if all that quiet repetition finally found its voice.
The idea is: if Claire’s is the place where ears get pierced, why not pierce the billboard too? By treating the board itself as an ear, the campaign turns a simple product truth into outdoor art that stops people mid-walk, mid-drive, mid-scroll.
There’s no model showing off the earrings. No forced tagline explaining the offer. Just a billboard dressed corner to corner in exactly what the brand is known for. Sometimes the strongest way to sell an idea is to simply become it.
