According to a report from Afaqs to celebrate Ganesh Utsav, Swiggy Instamart installed a free modak dispenser on Carter Road, Mumbai. The dispenser was operational on September 6th and 7th, 2024, offering 1,000 modaks daily. Visitors could receive a modak by ringing a bell, which activated an audio sensor that released the treat in a hygienic box within five seconds.

Each box included a QR code that linked to Swiggy Instamart’s Ganesh Chaturthi offerings. The initiative, managed by Havas Media and Havas Media Tribes, gained significant attention on social media, highlighting the brand’s festive engagement.
This creative campaign not only catered to the cultural significance of Ganesh Utsav but also served as a strategic promotion for Swiggy Instamart’s festive products. The initiative exemplified how brands can effectively connect with local traditions and enhance customer experience through innovative approaches.
