Rajendra Kumar, Director of Media 24x7 calls for firm steps to bring business back on track

With the Government permitting businesses to have 33% of its workforce operating from their respective offices in the third phase of the lockdown, media owning firm Media 24x7 has re-opened its offices in Delhi, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Agra and the state of Uttarakhand. Rajendra Kumar, Director of Media 24x7 advocates strong steps to bring business back on track, although the firms should ensure the safety of their employees through physical distancing of people within the offices.

Toward this, Media 24x7 employees attend office on a rational basis, such that 33% of the total strength is working out of offices at any given time. The workstations have also been reconfigured to maintain a certain physical distance between people working at their desks. Moreover, a team leader has been designated at each branch office to keep an eye on the norms to be followed without exception. At the same time, processes have been laid down to ensure the productivity does not dip in these conditions. Also, the company has not planned any salary cuts although the working hours of the employees have considerably reduced.

On the business front, the company has conducted meetings with the Nagar Nigams in cities where it has operations, to obtain permissions for running campaigns once the bookings begin. The authorities have assured all support. Apparently, there have been some concerns expressed by landlords of private sites in allowing the company’s staff and labour to enter their premises because of the virus fears.

Media 24x7 holds exclusive ad rights on unipoles/billboards in the Rudrapur, Kashipur, Dehradun, Massoorie and Rooorkee in Uttarakhand, and is hopeful of generating good business with the starting of the CharDham Yatra.
