Kolkata Municipal Corporation launches tender for Monopole Street Hoardings media rights

Kolkata Municipal Corporation has launched a massive tender for the construction and right to display of advertisement on Monopole Street Hoarding at different locations as per the specification within the jurisdiction of Kolkata Municipal Corporation. The tender includes Cluster 1, 2 & 3 falling in their jurisdiction having different number of formats in each cluster. 

There are 58 Monopole Street Hoardings at different locations as per Appendix-A (Cluster-1) of the NIT, 58 nos. of Monopole Street Hoardings at different locations as per Appendix-B (Cluster-2) of the NIT and 45 Monopole Street Hoardings at different locations as per Appendix-C (Cluster-3) of the NIT. Each cluster will be awarded for 7 years’ duration. 

There are 161 locations within the jurisdiction of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (as per Appendix-A, B & C) and they will be tendered for construction of monopole street hoardingswith the right to display of advertisements on major arterial roads. The area of advertisement per street hoarding is (20’X10’) = 200 sq. ft., except for the hoarding located at Ultadanga Pumping Drainage Station. 

These monopoles are to be constructed by the agency at the specified locations. The monopoles will be either ‘T’ shaped or ‘Flagged’ shape depending on the location. Wherever there is a ‘V’ shaped hoarding, it should preferably be replaced by double deck monopole street hoarding with the upper portion allotted for commercial display and the lower portion reserved for KMC/ government message display. For monopole with back-to-back display, one side will be allotted for commercial display and the other reserved for KMC/ government message display wherever possible.

The last date to submit bid is February 22 , 2021, with the opening of Technical Bid (online) scheduled for February 24,2021.
