Greenply makes #PujaforAll possible with specially designed Plywood

This year, Greenply Industries takes a unique initiative called #PujoForAll by deploying wheelchair friendly structure ‘Green Ramps’ for the differently-abled and elderly people to provide them access to the entrance of the Durga puja pandals despite their physical constraints. Greenply Industries has built this requisite infrastructure made with plywood at 39 Durga puja pandals. Alongside, the brand has also put up banners and standees across the main entrance of the Samaj Sebi Sangha, South Kolkata to promote on outdoors .

Commenting on the campaign #PujoForAll, Sanidhya Mittal, Joint Managing Director, Greenply Industries Ltd said, “Inclusivity has always been in our corporate DNA, be it in our workforce, or our other stakeholders. We identified that there is a significant population who are being left behind from participating in our grand Sharodiya celebration owing to issues such as physical disabilities or old age. It is this problem that we are trying to alleviate and give them a hassle-free Pujo experience through the Green Ramps that have been installed at various Puja locations of Kolkata. On the installation of Green Ramp at Samaj Sebi Sangha, Arijit Moitra, Secretary, Samaj Sebi Sangha shares, “Taking forward the spirit of oneness, we have identified a need gap that prevented the differently abled people from the joys of being involved in one of the biggest street festivals of the world. The Green ramp provided by Greenply Industries bridged the gap and enabled the differently abled to become a part of the joyous celebrations with a hassle-free pandal hopping experience and helped us making our puja pandal inclusive and accessible for all.
