OAC 2016 to host second edition of its creative contest YOC

Laqshya Media Group once again lends its support for this unique contest for young creative professionals which will held at the OAC venue in Gurgaon, Delhi NCR during June 17-18 this year.

YOC, a unique contest for young creative professionals which made a grand debut at the Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) 2015 in Mumbai, will be held for the second time at OAC 2016 in Hotel Hyatt Regency, Gurgaon, Delhi NCR during June 17-18 this year.

YOC is a singular opportunity for copy writers and art professionals working with creative agencies to showcase their creative expressions to a highly accomplished audience. Laqshya Media Group which had lent its support for the highly successful debut edition of YOC has once again taken up the sponsorship of the contest.

Commenting on the group’s association with this contest, Alok Jalan, Managing Director, Laqshya Media Group, said, “Today, as the Indian OOH industry sets sights on accelerated growth, it is imperative for all key constituents of our industry to focus on nurturing young talent and ensure their fruitful engagement in all facets of OOH business. Creative expression on the OOH canvas is one dimension that is gathering significant attention across markets. So, it was in the fitness of things for OAC to have a contest for young creative professionals and we are extremely happy to support this initiative.  

In this unique contest, the participants will be divided into 2-member teams – each team comprising a copy writer and an art pro. The teams will be briefed by an eminent creative professional on June 17 at the OAC venue.

The teams shall make their individual presentations to a Jury and the shortlisted teams will eventually make their presentations to the entire OAC audience on June 18 at a session dedicated to YOC. Finally, the audience will vote for the best presentations.The Winners will receive their awards at the Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) function in the evening of June 18. YOC is open to creative professionals below the age of 30 working with a creative agency.

The contest will have only 12 participants, and so the contestants will be selected on a first-come-first-served basis.
