Chumbak targets caffeine lovers to promote summer sale

The quirky lifestyle brand, Chumbak adopts a funky nature of promotional activity i.e. cup branding to announce and create buzz about their summer sale and to increase their customer acquisition. The activity, carried out in 50 Bangalore-based corporate offices, was done in association with GingerCup agency. The idea behind taking up an ambient advertising platform was to associate the brand with a kind of promotional activity that goes well with their brand positioning. Therefore, the cups designed in the unique and funky manner were distributed in corporate offices, which happens to be their TG as they are more likely to shop funky stationery and accessories for their work desk and surroundings.

Interestingly, to create a traction, the cups were designed in red and blue colours with owl print all over.  It also featured a QR code to be used by consumers to get extra flat 10% discount on making a purchase from Chumbak website. Along with that, their store locations where listed on the cups to push the store visits.  

Post the activity, impact assessment was carried by the duo; it recorded an overwhelming result generated via engaging and visually attractive activity. According to Cooladata, “40% of online consumers make a purchase after being influenced by an offline channel”.
