IOAA Executive Council elections in end-August
The Association plans to initiate the setting up of Regional Councils and will call for direct membership to IOAA for media companies in various cities

Meanwhile, to strengthen the IOAA organisation and that of its members in different cities, the Association plans to initiate the setting up of Regional Councils and will call for direct membership to IOAA for media companies in various cities. Hence, IOAA will not renew the memberships of city associations after the forthcoming AGM.
Each IOAA Regional Council will be part of a national network and will thus have greater weight in its intervention and dialogue with local regulatory bodies. This is seen as an important step to promote outdoor advertising businesses and to boost the overall revenues for the industry.
IOAA has also decided to enroll new memberships at current rates only until the next AGM, after which the membership rates are also slated to be increased; the rates have remained the same over the last 7 years.
Further, IOAA will soon announce the dates and venues for training sessions for new joinees in member companies, as well as advanced sessions covering specific disciplines like marketing and sales, planning, etc.
In addition, IOAA is firming up partnerships with various organisations to work on eco-friendly solutions and improved structures for OOH media that will prepare the media industry for an environment-conscious future. Some of these are at an advanced stage of finalisation and will be rolled out as workshops to be conducted in various cities, the Association informed.
