A new future beckons Indian OOH as the medium undergoes transformative changes with technology integration, greater creativity, and ushering in of newer and innovative formats. Stringent regulation, adoption of a common currency, standardisation of business norms and talent acquisition are among the other key imperatives for the Indian OOH industry that is primed for increasing its share of the total ad spends.

Against this backdrop, Pawan Bansal, Chairman of the Indian Outdoor Advertising Association (IOAA) will be speaking on the theme ‘Biting the bullet for Indian OOH progress’ in the upcoming OOH Advertising Convention that will be conducted in Bengaluru on July 26-27, 2024.

Pawan is the Chief Operating Officer of Jagran Engage, the OOH media owning division of media house Jagran Prakashan Ltd. At IOAA, Pawan was Vice Chairman & Head of Credit Control Committee. He is adept at formulating OOH advertising SOPs and pioneering audience measurement methodologies, driving industry standards. Pawan has accumulated diverse business exposure at Castrol and Bausch and Lomb.

In the IOAA session, Pawan will be speaking on a roadmap for stringent industry self-regulation for future-proofing the business; policy advocacy with government authorities – and ushering in standard practices; a pan-India industry approach, addressing issues at the local levels; and a plan for gearing up industry preparedness for a tech-driving business.

The session will also provide Indian OOH leaders with the opportunity to raise business issues that call for collective industry action.
