McDonald’s drives outlets footfall with local train audio ads
The brand leveraged the audio advertisement medium in Mumbai Locals trains to promote their latest offers, encouraging masses to grab a quick bite at their nearest McDonald’s outlet
McDonald’s stands out in the Mumbai market with its unique contextual audio ads running on the western line of Mumbai local trains. The audio ads interestingly remind the passengers about their outlets in each area along with promoting their offer of serving burger and beverage at only Rs. 59 through catchy audio jingles. The brand has used this medium first time with multiple advantages. With this month-long campaign, McDonald’s essentially aims to convert leads; tempting passengers to grab a bite of their latest offer.
The audio quality of the ads, despite the other disturbance, is very clear. Speaking about this medium, Abhijeet Daigavane, Founder of AtomO’Sphere, handling the rights for audio ads in the local trains said, “The local trains are an excellent medium because a large variety of audience can be targeted here. From diamond merchants, to students, and so many more, use local trains to commute across the western line.”
