Rekha Nahar, GM & Head – Marketing, Jockey India, joins OAA 2023 Jury

An alumnus of the SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Rekha brings with her over 16 years of experience in the FMCG marketing

Rekha Nahar, General Manager & Head – Marketing, Jockey India, joins the esteemed list of individuals as part of the jury for the Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) 2023.

A marketing graduate, Rekha has over 16 years of experience in marketing, brand building, P&L management, innovation, and strategic projects for FMCG brands having spent a significant time at big organizations such as Dabur and MTR Foods. 

Rekha commented on the significance of OAA stating, “OAA is doing a great job in recognising some outstanding work done in this (OOH) space – which encourages brands and marketers to consider OOH as not only a canvas for advertising but also of how to make an impact through hard work and meaningful innovations in the space. OAA is a great repository of information of the work done by the brands in the OOH space”

In her current role at Jockey, Rekha is responsible for the overall brand strategy, trade marketing and brand management, integrated marketing among other responsibilities. 

When asked what she’s looking forward to seeing at this year’s awards, Rekha said “I hope to see a lot more innovations in this space from this year’s contest considering life has crawled back to normal post pandemic and brands have got back to investing in the OOH space”. 

Having previously been a part of the jury panel for OAA in 2022, Rekha recalled her experience with fondness “It was a great experience as we saw varied entries across industries. I thoroughly enjoyed the process specially the innovations done in this space. We did have a tough time choosing the final winners in a few categories due to some incredible work done by quite a few of the brands!”
