McCann wins advertising rights for Air India

The advertising agency won the rights following an extensive multi-agency pitch

McCann logoMcCann Worldgroup India has bagged the advertising and marketing rights for Air India following a multi-agency pitch as the Tata-owned airline beings a five-year journey to become a global leader in the aviation industry. 

The agency will be tasked with developing a new brand platform and a comprehensive range of multi-channel marketing communication.

Air india logoSpeaking on the occasion, Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial and Transformation Officer, Air India, said, “We are building Air India as a ‘Global Airline with an Indian Heart’. This is a brand that is close to the heart of flyers around the world, and the new Air India will be a manifestation of the aspirations of the global Indian. With McCann Worldgroup as a partner, we expect to transform the brand into one of the most admired and trusted brands in India and overseas.”

Team McCann’s pitch was led by Prasoon Joshi, CEO & CCO, McCann Worldgroup India and Chairman, Asia Pacific.
