The semi-high-speed train connecting Chennai, Bengaluru and Mysuru was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 11 at KSR railway station in Bengaluru.
The Vande Bharat Express train connecting Chennai, Bengaluru and Mysuru, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 11 at the inauguration function held at KSR railway station in Bengaluru, is expected to have a positive cascading impact on railway media advertising in the sector covered by the semi high-speed train.
The change in the profile of rail travellers, as a result of the introduction of Vande Bharat Express, as also the high passenger occupancy on this train as compared to other trains running in the same sector, will encourage a wide class of advertisers to opt for rail media advertising at the connecting stations. “Vande Bharat Express connects the hi-tech and IT hub and India’s Detroit,” says Kumar, while adding that the sheer travel comfort on this semi-high-speed train will have a great impact on the railway media audience profile.
In his view, the onboard digital entertainment and information systems on the train will also open up a raft of in-train advertising opportunities. Pertinent to note that Sharma Srishti Synergy which operates the Railway Display Network in the Bengaluru Division of South Western Railway runs advanced digital screens at the KSR station.
