Srishti Group bags sole rights for audio OOH on Chennai Suburban Railway network

The rights have been awarded by Southern Railway for a period of 5 years

Close on the heels of acquiring the exclusive advertising rights for the Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the Srishti Group has further extended its footprint in the transit media segment by bagging the audio OOH rights on the entire network of 62 Chennai Suburban Railway trains for a period of 5 years.

The ad rights, awarded to Srishti Group by Southern Railway, facilitates for the OOH firm to operate the audio station announcements on the Chennai Suburban Railway trains, while interspersing the announcements with advertising jingles.

Cited as the second largest suburban rail network in India in terms of route length and the third largest in terms of commuters in India, the Chennai Suburban Railway has the longest suburban circular route in India covering of 235.5 km, covered with around 1,000 services that are operated daily between 4:00AM and midnight. 

Commenting on this business win, S Kumar, Managing Director, Srishti Group told Media4Growth, “It is our constant endeavour to expand our portfolio of transit media offerings, such that, advertisers of all hues have an expansive choice of locations and audiences for determining their campaign rollout plans. Kumar reckoned that the audio OOH system on the Chennai Suburban Railway, which extends across 600+ coaches covering the length and breadth of the city of Chennai and the suburbs, and having over 2.5 million passenger movement every day, is a large audience for a whole gamut of advertisers. Moreover, the audience comprising a sizeable number of office-goers, business persons, most of whom are in the higher income, younger age bracket, who form the target group for various advertisers.

Srishti Group is bullish on the prospects of deepening its expertise in the audio OOH space and making this medium stand out as a key advertising option for brands.
