New facility set to redefine Active LED display manufacturing
The dedicated manufacturing initiative LEDX was inaugurated in January 2026 in Vapi with an annual production capacity of approximately 50,000 square metres.
In a significant move aimed at strengthening India’s LED display manufacturing ecosystem, Xtreme Media has introduced LEDX Technology, a dedicated manufacturing initiative designed to enhance quality control, streamline supply chains and build a globally competitive production base from India.
While India has strong capabilities in system integration and assembly, several critical components and processes still depend on overseas suppliers. LEDX Technology has been conceived as a strategic step to address these gaps in the market, and the cater to the increased need for deeper backward integration
Inauguration and operational rollout
LEDX was inaugurated in January 2026, with the factory becoming operational within just 11 months, reflecting focused execution and strong operational planning. During the commissioning phase, significant effort was placed on aligning vendors and suppliers with LEDX’s quality standards and performance benchmarks, ensuring a cohesive and reliable production ecosystem from the outset.
Strategically located near both airport and port infrastructure, the facility offers logistical advantages that enable faster movement of materials and improved supply chain efficiency. The plant is led by an experienced engineering team, including factory managers with over two decades of industry expertise, supported by in-house research and development as well as proprietary intellectual property.
A long-term manufacturing vision
As Xtreme Media says in its statement, “Built on the pillars of innovation, quality and sustainability, LEDX represents a long-term vision to position India at the forefront of global active LED display manufacturing. While the Indian LED display market has witnessed rapid growth, challenges such as inconsistent component sourcing, quality variation and reliance on fragmented international suppliers have remained prevalent across the industry. LEDX has been established to address these concerns by creating a process-driven manufacturing ecosystem anchored in standardised quality benchmarks.”
As the company informs, beyond strengthening Xtreme Media’s own supply chain, the facility is also positioned to support the wider industry by offering reliable India-based manufacturing capabilities.
For OEM and ODM partners seeking dependable white-labelling or end-to-end manufacturing solutions, LEDX aims to serve as a collaborative production partner.

Scale, automation and manufacturing infrastructure
Spread across 10,000 square metres, the LEDX facility has been designed around specialised machinery and efficient manufacturing processes from the ground up. The factory features optimised utilities, controlled material movement and a one-directional workflow that supports operational efficiency and safety. The facility has an annual production capacity of approximately 50,000 square metres.
At its core is a fully integrated manufacturing ecosystem that covers every stage, from incoming material inspection to final ageing and dispatch. The plant’s advanced SMT infrastructure is designed with scalability in mind and operates in a climate-controlled environment to maintain precision and process stability.
Its advanced SMT infrastructure, planned for five scalable lines, is equipped with top-of-the-line machines and operates within an ESD-safe, dust-minimising epoxy-floored, climate-controlled environment, maintained at approximately 24°C and 40–50% humidity for precision and process stability.
Post-SMT processes are highly fully automated and include conformal coating for indoor modules, automated sealing and waterproofing for outdoor products, and extensive ageing tests lasting up to 72 hours to ensure long-term reliability.
Quality control is embedded across multiple checkpoints through advanced inspection and testing systems including Incoming Quality Control (IQC), Solder Paste Inspection (SPI), Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), pick-and-place machinery and reflow soldering. Additional processes such as IP validation, conformal coating and automated assembly further strengthen product durability and field performance.
Product portfolio and technology focus
LEDX will manufacture a comprehensive range of LED display solutions spanning fine-pitch, indoor, outdoor and rental applications. The facility is equipped to produce displays with pixel pitches ranging from 0.9 mm to 20 mm, catering to a wide range of industry requirements.
The fine-pitch portfolio will incorporate technologies such as flip-chip COB, deep black technology for enhanced contrast, true colour reproduction and common cathode architecture design for improved energy efficiency.
Indoor display solutions will feature high brightness levels, moisture protection through nano-coating, lightweight cabinet structures and a modular architecture that allows future upgrades. Meanwhile, outdoor displays are engineered for demanding environments with brightness levels reaching up to 10,000 nits and IP66 protection to withstand challenging weather conditions.
The facility also supports a broad portfolio of rental LED solutions for both indoor and outdoor use, enabling flexibility for events, activations and large-scale installations.
Customisation and co-innovation
A key focus area at LEDX is customisation through collaborative development. The company works closely with clients to design LED display solutions tailored to specific technical and environmental requirements.
By bringing design, engineering and manufacturing under one roof, LEDX enables faster prototyping, seamless iteration and scalable production. This integrated approach allows solutions to be purpose-built for specific use cases while maintaining reliability and performance standards.
With its structured processes and global outlook, the initiative strengthens Xtreme Media’s production ecosystem while contributing to the broader ambition of positioning India as a credible hub for active LED display manufacturing on the global stage. LEDX is set to contribute meaningfully to position India as a credible hub for active LED display manufacturing excellence.
