Airtel, Google promote free cyber zones at CCD outlets
The brands have leveraged the popularity of coffee shops as youth hangouts to promote Free Internet Zone.
Airtel in joint collaboration with Google has announced the launch of the Free Zone in coffee shops . To spread awareness on the same, Airtel has targeted the youth in the friendly environment of Café Coffee Day outlets, given the frequency with which the segment hangs out at these coffee shops.
The objective of the campaign was to educate the target group on the’Free Zone’, which empowers the users with several useful internet services. Airtel leveraged the popularity of the coffee shops and shared with every cup of Latte coffee a musical note in the form of the Latte art along with a tag attached to it informing the users on the benefits of the Google Free Zone which offers music downloads and other internet usages at no data charges.
The campaign was executed at major CCD outlets across Mumbai for a duration of one month starting November 1, 2013.
