Canon India sets off on a 60-city brand journey

The roadshow is designed to consolidate Canon India's footprint in tier 2, 3 and 4 cities as a one-stop imaging solutions provider.

   Digital imaging major Canon India has flagged off a 60-city roadshow to strengthen the brand’s customer connect across the country. The ‘Consumer Connect’ programme is an initiative to create wider awareness about the brand’s portfolio, while consolidating its footprint across tier 2, 3, and 4 cities.

Designed as an interactive engagement, the Canon India roadshow will provide existing and prospective customers hands-on experience of Canon products. Through this road show, Canon is also showcasing its latest premium cameras including EOS 5D Mark IV, EOS 760 D, EOS 750D and Canon PIXMA G series printer.

Speaking on the initiative, Kazutada Kobayashi, President & CEO, Canon India, said, “As the leading imaging player, we consider it our responsibility to connect the world of imaging to our customers. Having completed 20 glorious years in the country, we have escalated our vision of innovation and customer satisfaction. The roadshow is a consumer connect initiative to bring our product portfolio to the forefront and create mass awareness about the technological innovation that Canon houses within its imaging solutions. Our aim now is to push the boundaries and expand our offerings to Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 markets to engage with customers to understand their imaging needs and bring them the best of imaging solutions.”

Sharing his thoughts, Eddie Udagawa, Vice President, Consumer Imaging and Information Centre, Canon India, said, “In India, photography industry is reconfiguring itself by manifesting in the form of growing interest in higher functionality compact and digital SLR cameras. We continue to reach out to Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities in the country to engage with consumers, as we believe in promoting the art of photography and the power it entails. We conduct various workshops and training modules, promote photo tours and other engaging campaigns, which are conducted across the country. By the launch of this roadshow across 60 cities, we have taken a step ahead to cater to create new customers and promote photography culture in the country”

The 60 city roadshow was flagged off from Gurgaon in Haryana. In the first phase, the roadshow will travel to Meerut, Jodhpur, Jamshedpur, Patna and Varanasi. Updates on the roadshow will also be shared with customers across the country, with a digital campaign called #CanonInYourCity.
