Through this pioneering initiative, Srishti, which has been awarded exclusive rights by Southern Railway to put up the DOOH assets on the façade of the iconic building and on the walkway to the station, and the DOOH installations are bringing about a remarkable makeover of the station exterior and surrounding areas.
The vantage location commands huge eyeballs. The Chennai Central Railway Station alone sees movement of 5.5 lakh people a day. Add to some 2 lakh people movement around the Moore Market Complex and 1.5 lakh at the Metro station and surrounding areas. The adjoining road see movement of around 5.75 lakh people. These numbers add up to a significant size of audience for the new DOOH screens.

Srishti Communications had the media space up until the 2000s, with static media for ad displays featuring brands like Airtel, The Hindu newspaper and others running their campaigns on those formats.
“We are excited to launch start-of-the-art DOOH media units at the iconic Chennai Central Railway Station that provide train and passenger information on the screens interspersed with brand advertising and social communications,” says Kumar, while adding the DOOH media include a first-of-its-kind curved LED screen with 3D content placed on the façade of the building, a large DOOH display median showing train information, and a V-shaped 2-sided unit above a food outlet.
