Ranjit Kumar M, a seasoned airline marketing leader with over 17 years of experience in creating and executing innovative marketing strategies that drive business growth, customer loyalty, and brand awareness, will be participating as a Speaker in the panel discussion on the theme ‘What’s the RoI that OOH must deliver to advertiser?’, in the 2nd South India Talks OOH conference that will be held at Grand GRT Convention Centre in Chennai on February 2, 2024.
Ranjit Kumar M is currently the Head of Marketing, Digital and E-Commerce at Air India Express, the low-cost subsidiary of Air India, where he leads a team of marketing professionals to manage the online and offline presence of the airline across domestic and international markets.
Prior to this role, he was the Senior Manager of Marketing, Digital and E-Commerce at AirAsia India, where he was one of the two core members who launched the airline in India and helped it grow from 5 to 23 cities, from 23 to 1815 weekly departures, and from 2 to 3100 employees in less than three years. He also introduced various AirAsia subsidiaries in India, such as AirAsia X, AirAsia Big, and AirAsia RedTix, to enhance the market share and customer value proposition of the airline.
Ranjit spearheaded and managed several marketing projects for AirAsia India and globally, such as AirAsia Kabali, Red Pass, and AirAsia Loves India, that generated buzz, engagement, and revenue for the brand.
Ranjit has a strong background in digital and e-commerce marketing, having created an independent in-house digital team at AirAsia India that leveraged e-commerce platforms and channels when internet penetration in India was just 7%. He is also the custodian of airindiaexpress.com and Air India Express Mobile App where he oversees the design, development, and optimisation of the website and app to enhance the user experience and conversion rate. He has a proven track record of measuring and improving the marketing effectiveness and ROI using data-driven tools and techniques.
