Eminent Film Writer & Director Vasanth S Sai to deliver the keynote at 2nd South India Talks OOH conference
Vasanth S Sai will speak on ‘The art of story-telling: Essence of advertising’
Eminent Film Writer and Director Vasanth S Sai will be delivering the keynote address in the 2nd South India Talks OOH conference that will be held at Grand GRT Convention Centre in Chennai on February 2, 2024. He will be speaking on ‘The art of story-telling: Essence of advertising’.
In an illustrious professional journey, Vasanth has directed 14 feature films, 100 plus advertisement films and 15 documentary films. He has also written 70 short stories, and authored six books on filmmaking.
Vasanth is a recipient of 3 National Awards and 3 Tamil Nadu State Government Awards. He was conferred with the Kalaimamani, the highest civilian award in the state of Tamil Nadu, in 2006.
Vasanth has also received the Best Asian Film Award, and the Best Indo-Russian Award. His film ‘Sivaranjani and Two Other Women’ was named an Asian Masterpiece at Fukuoka University Japan and they are preserving the film for future generations to view.
Vasanth’s illustrious filmography includes, ‘Keladikanmani’, ‘Aasai’, ‘Nerukku Near’, ‘Rhythm’, ‘Appu’, ‘Sathum Podathay’, ‘Poovellam Kettuppar’ and ‘Sivaranjaniyum Innum Sila Pengallum’ — the only Tamil film to win best film at Japan’s Fukuoka International Film Festival.
