Rajeev Raja, Founder & Soundsmith, BrandMusiq to speak on ‘What’s music to brands?’ at OAC 2024

Rajeev Raja, Founder & Soundsmith of BrandMusiq, India’s first company dedicated to designing and managing the sonic identity of a brand, will be addressing the upcoming OOH Advertising Convention (OAC) in Bengaluru on July 26-27, on the theme — ‘Think hatke: What’s music to brands?’. He will share his perspectives on how advertising can be music to the ears of consumers – and leave that everlasting impression in their minds.
Over 25 years in advertising, Rajeev has worked on a plethora of brands and has created many nationwide campaigns that won him many accolades and awards. His last paid position was as National Creative Director of DDB Mudra where he steered the India launch of the iconic brand Volkswagen with some stunning and much talked about work.
Rajeev is also a well known musician and is considered one of India’s leading Jazz and Fusion flautists. His Fusion band ‘The Rajeev Raja Combine’ enthralls music lovers at venues and at concerts across India and the world. His maiden album went on to the #1 spot on the Itunes India charts and stayed there for three weeks running.
Over the past two decades, Rajeev has played with a number of fantastic musicians including, Louis Banks, Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy, Fazal and Taufiq Kureshi, Ranjit Barot, Leslie Lewis, Susmit Sen and even Bernie Marsden, the amazing guitarist of the UK band ‘White Snake’.
He has composed music for the Bollywood film ‘Bus Yunhi’. With these strong credentials in music and branding it followed that Rajeev founded BrandMusiq, a company that creates sonic identities for brands. He created the term MOGO® or musical logo, which has become part of global lexicon.
BrandMusiq has gone on to create ‘MOGOs®’ for leading Indian brands such as Vistara, HDFC Bank, Zomato, CNBC TV 18 as well as several international brands including Kraft Heinz, Standard Chartered Bank and most recently the global sonic identity for Mastercard.
