Indian OOH takes the pledge to pursue sustainable business practices
Over 500 delegates attending OAC 2024 took the Green Pledge administered by noted film personality Manoj Joshi, just before his inspirational address at the convention.
Sustainability makes perfect business sense. For OOH. Today, as the world takes bigger steps to embrace sustainable practices to create a green future for our planet and for the generations to come, it is incumbent on the OOH industry too to follow this path, and perhaps get ahead of the curve. While the civic bodies are likely to enforce more stringent environmental norms for OOH advertising in the foreseeable future, and advertisers themselves may mandate sustainable standards for OOH campaign execution, the OOH stakeholders could steal the thunder by collectively adopting green practices and thereby earn great goodwill.
The OOH Advertising Convention (OAC) 2024, held in Bengaluru on July 26-27, witnessed a unique and important development whereby over 500 delegates attending the convention stood in unison to take the Green Pledge that was administered by noted film actor Manoj Joshi, was there to deliver an inspirational address on the opening day.
