That OOH media is a powerful vehicle for public and social messaging was emphatically reaffirmed when the Railway Display Network (RDN) in the Bengaluru Division of South Western Railway, set up by Sharma Srishti Synergy, in its very first month of going live is displaying crucial messages on the prevention of spreading of COVID-19 virus.

While the RDN, which is wholly digital in its presentation, provides real-time train and passenger information to passengers and visitors at the stations, the network is also envisaged to provide up-to-date information in times of any crisis or emergency. This aspect is now being fully leveraged by the Railways. Sharma Srishti Synergy is establishing and operating the RDN across 32 stations in the Bengaluru Division including KSR Bangalore City Railway Station, and holds the exclusive advertising rights on the network for a period of 10 years.

Commenting on public messaging on RDN screens, S Kumar, Managing Director, Srishti Group, said the vantage positioning of the digital screens in the station premises, and the high quality of display screens ensure that all information displayed on the screens are consumed by the maximum number of people present at the stations at any given time. “We are extremely pleased to be playing a key role in the dissemination of such crucial public messaging, and we hope that this kind of information dissemination will help build public awareness of the ways people can check the spread of the COVID-19 virus.”
