Nigeria’s OOH Academy teams up with NYSC Lagos State Chapter to introduce corps members to OOH job opportunities
The job roles are diverse, from creative design to campaign management
In a bid to provide fresh opportunities for corps members and mitigate brain drain in the marketing communications sector, the OOH Academy based in Nigeria has partnered with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Lagos State Chapter to introduce corps members to the OOH advertising industry.
The session, which took place at Surulere Local Government on March 22, 2024, witnessed the participation of founding members of the OOH Academy, Chinonso Atuegwu, and Kingsley Onwukaeme. Atuegwu and Onwukaeme who passionately addressed the corps members, who are on the brink of completing their national service, urging them to consider the dynamic and lucrative opportunities within the OOH industry.
During the session, corps members were enlightened about various job prospects available in the industry, ranging from creative design to campaign management. Atuegwu and Onwukaeme underscored the importance of leveraging platforms like the OOH Academy and other marketing communication industry academies such as O2 Academy, Alphabet Media Academy, and Brand Management Academy.
“This initiative aims to inject fresh talent and innovative perspectives into the Marketing Communications space,” remarked Atuegwu. “By exposing corps members to the diverse opportunities within the OOH industry, we hope to not only retain skilled individuals but also invigorate the sector with new ideas and energy.”
The collaboration between the OOH Academy and NYSC Lagos State Chapter signifies a proactive approach towards addressing the talent gap in the marketing communications sector. As the corps members prepare to transition into the workforce, initiatives like these serve as catalysts for fostering growth and sustainability within the industry.
