Amazon Prime Video recently embarked on a creative outdoor advertising campaign, showcasing their diverse catalog of over 50 movies and series in a highly engaging and witty manner. Conceptualized and executed by Bare Bones Collective, the campaign utilised striking visuals and clever juxtaposition, captivating audiences across billboards, transit spaces, and public installations, making it a topic of discussion and admiration. 

One of the campaign’s standout elements was its vibrant portrayal of Amazon Prime Video’s breadth of genres and narratives. A train wrapped with iconic posters from series and movies vividly brought characters to life. The design highlighted emotional connections, such as romance from Citadel: Honey Bunny, blending visual storytelling with impactful taglines like “It’s on Amazon Prime.” This seamless integration of imagery and message created a traveling spectacle, turning mundane commutes into moments of intrigue and discovery. 

The campaign’s billboards further showcased the platform’s diversity by pairing contrasting themes and moods. In one instance, the demure simplicity of Panchayat was contrasted with the lively flamboyance of Call Me Bae, underscoring Amazon’s commitment to offering something for everyone. The clever wordplay—”Demure” and “Mindful”—matched the imagery, striking a chord with viewers while subtly conveying the unique tone of each show. Such executions effectively demonstrated how Amazon Prime Video accommodates a wide range of viewer preferences, from heartfelt dramas to light hearted comedies. 

Another standout visual contrasted the supernatural thriller Stree 2 with the unapologetically bold Four More Shots Please! humorously titled “4 More Stree” to link the seemingly unrelated content. Bare Bones Collective’s knack for playful wordsmithing captured attention and cleverly showcased the variety within Amazon’s catalog. By blending wit with eye-catching aesthetics, the campaign ensured maximum engagement, making passersby stop, notice, and even smile. 

Talking about the campaign, Anuya Jakatdar, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Bare Bones Collective said “We loved working on this campaign, it was truly a collaborative effort between us and Prime Video, and we had the best time coming up with the copy. It was like fitting pieces of a puzzle together; finding the right connectors between myriad Prime Video titles and making them not just work, but sing. An agency can’t get a better brief!”
