Signpost India wins rights on 98 prime bqs in Bhopal

By VJ Media Bureau - July 06, 2015

Signpost India has signed an exclusive 8-year contract with Bhopal City Link Ltd (a subsidiary of Bhopal Municipal Corporation) for the 98 bqs

Signpost India, formerly known as Cartel Outdoor, continues to expand its presence in the country with the addition of bus queue shelters (bqs) at 98 premier locations across Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh.

Bhopal today presents a multi-faceted profile; the old city bears the aristocratic imprint of its former rulers and equally impressive is the new city with its verdant, exquisitely laid out parks and gardens, broad avenues and streamlined modern edifices. It is greener and cleaner than most cities in the country.

With an exclusive contract for the 98 bqs for a period of eight years, signed with Bhopal City Link Ltd (a subsidiary of Bhopal Municipal Corporation), the cherry picked locations near Birla Mandir, BJP Bhawan, DB Mall, Arera Colony, and other prominent locations provide advertisers with compelling opportunities to target a variety of demographics in the city.

The recent ruling of Supreme Court of India has changed the OOH advertising scenario of the city and the BQS network serves as the only major medium for the advertisers to connect with consumers in the outdoor.

Commenting on this development, Signpost Managing Partner Shripad Ashtekar said, "Signpost is continuously diversifying its media inventory. Bhopal is our first foray in Madhya Pradesh, and we are really excited to be working with Bhopal City Link and to enhance and build on the local knowledge. We would be closely working with Adwide Communications on the operations as well as marketing the media on regional level. At Signpost, we have a core principle of public service solutions with the opportunity of advertising. With the addition of these bqs, we have another opportunity to provide fantastic media locations to clients, and public service to the citizens of Bhopal.”
