OAA 2022 introduces ‘Best Media Format Innovation’ award

Any unique format innovation of a traditional or DOOH media is eligible for entry to this award sub-category


Organisers of the Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) 2022 Contest that is underway have decided to include a new sub-category called ‘Best Media Format Innovation’, under ‘Special Categories’.

The ‘Best Media Format Innovation’, bearing Code No. ‘3.f’, will be open to entries from media owning firms that have executed any temporary or permanent innovation of a traditional or DOOH format, such that the innovation significantly enhances the effectiveness and impact of advertising on that particular media unit.

The format innovation may be illustrated by way of cutouts and extensions added to the media unit; motorised movement of elements for media display; creative illumination of ad display; application and use of technologies that creative innovative ad displays, or any other distinct innovation of a traditional or DOOH media unit.

This sub-category will be open to participation from only media owning firms.

As reported earlier, the entire judging process for OAA 2022 has been planned at two levels:                         

 OAA 2022 will have participation in 6 different award categories & 20+ sub-categories:

Winners of OAA 2022 will receive the coveted Metals at the Outdoor Advertising Awards function at Westin Mumbai Powai Lake hotel on August 18, 2022 evening, just after the conclusion of Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) 2022. The Awards will be given away by highly accomplished Brand Marketers, and International OOH leaders.

The OAA 2022 entries, to be submitted online not later than June 10, 2022.
