HC hearing on BMC ad license fee postponed to June 5

Media owners have sought fee waiver for the month of May

The Bombay High Court hearing on the plea for waiver of license fee on advertising for the month of May 2020 has been postponed to June 5. The hearing was earlier scheduled on June 2, but the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s advocate didn’t appear for the hearing.

On this, Yogesh Lakhani, CMD, Bright Outdoor Media, who is pursuing the case on behalf of the media owners in the city, said that if all media owners join the collective effort to challenge the BMC order on license fee payment, the outcome will be all the more beneficial to the trade.
