Adille Sumariwalla steps out of Clear Channel

After 8 years, Adille Sumariwalla has decided to move on and has put in his papers at Clear Channel.

Adille Sumariwalla has put in his papers at Clear Channel as of March 31, 2013. He was the Chairman and Managing Director of Clear Channel in India and Head of the'Clear Channel Mudra' JV, where Adille spent 8 years in Clear Channel. With outstanding leadership qualities and integrity, he built a formidable team of professionals sharing the same values. He handled various brands such as Standard Chartered Bank, L&T Limited, Tata Motors, Tata Ventures, Tata Housing, Yahoo India, Volkswagen, Godrej security solutions, Big Bazar, ICICI Prudential, InOrbit Mall, Honda 2 wheelers, etc..
 
In his previous stints, he worked with Mid-day as Group Director Corporate and Outdoor, where he spearheaded new initiatives of the Company in the space of Radio, internet, print and was entrusted the task of setting up the OOH Division in 1997, which then merged its OOH operations with Clear Channel India in 2004. Presently, he is a Director on the Board of Next Media Works Ltd. (formerly Mid-Day Multimedia Ltd.) and SE TransStadia Ltd.
He started his professional career with Tata Engineering & Locomotive Co Ltd. (now TATA Motors Limited) where he worked for 15 years in various capacities, after which he was appointed as the founding CEO of the The Asian Age Newspaper in 1994.
