SDMC announces revised rates for mall wrap & signages
The rates have been revised in keeping with the expected advertising demand for these formats, and also to buoy the civic body’s revenue earnings
In the effort to obtain more revenues from the various OOH advertising formats permitted within their jurisdiction, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) released the approved rates for display of advertisement through self-signages and building wraps. The rates for Central & South Zone for Malls & Cinema are Rs 800 per sq.ft for up to 600 sq. ft and Rs 400 per sq.ft for 601-1,200 sq. ft.
For West & Najafgarh Zones, the rates are Rs 560 per sq.ft for up to 600 sq. Ft and Rs 250 per sq.ft for above. While the rates for digital format are double of the rates for static displays.
Commenting on the revised rates, Prem Shankar Jha, Deputy Commissioner in an exclusive conversation with Media4Growth, said, “We have finalised the pricing depending upon various factors. We are charging only 40% of that for unipole formats since mall concessionaires involved in it also need to look for their profit. These revised rates are Rs 200 per sq. ft lesser than the previous rate. We believe the rates are appropriate as mall sites are attractive and preferred formats for brands to showcase their offerings for longer durations targeting the captive audience there”.
Also, SDMC has finalised the rates for shops/self signages. While the display is allowed without any charges in the front width of the entrance of the shop/business/institution with maximum permissible height of 4 ft, for any display beyond that area the rate is Rs. 100 per sq ft in all zones. Display of products/services will be charged at Rs. 300 per sq. ft in Central & South Zones and Rs. 450 in the West & Najafgarh Zones.
