The highly popular Young Outdoorians! Contest will be organised for the fourth year in a row at the annual Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) — which will be held this year in Gurgaon, Delhi NCR during June 17-18. What is truly remarkable is that leading OOH firm IKON, having sponsored all three editions of Young Outdoorians! Contest, and has once again taken up the sponsorship of this contest.

Commenting on IKON’s continuous association with the Young Outdoorians! Contest, Lokesh Kumar, Managing Director, IKON, said, “the contest brings forth the latent capabilities of young professionals working in the OOH industry which is vital for the industry’s growth and development.” He expressed hope that the contestants will come up with highly innovative and scalable media plans based on strong planning methods.

Pertinent to note that the Young Outdoorians! Contest is open to professionals below 30 years working with brands, OOH media owning firms and OOH specialist agencies. The registered contestants will be divided into 5 teams who will then work on the brief given to them to come up with the most innovative outdoor media plans.

On Day 1, the groups will be briefed on a client’s branding objective and the outcome expected from outdoor advertising. The following day the team leads will present their respective plans to the jury, comprising prominent leaders of the OOH industry and brand marketers. The top two teams coming up with the best strategies will receive their prizes at the Outdoor Advertising Awards to be held on June 18, 2016.
