Jaikishin Chhaproo, Head Media & Brand PR, ITC joins OAA 2023 Jury
An industry veteran, Jaikishin has over 25 years of experience working in various brand segments such as FMCG, telecom, broadcast and e-commerce.
Jaikishin Chhaproo, Head Media & Brand PR, ITC, joins the jury for the Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) 2023. Speaking about the event, Jaikishin said that OAA is a prestigious award platform and it brings sharpness to measuring the impact of OOH as a medium.
Jaikishin is a seasoned marketing and communications veteran with over 25 years of experience working across market segments such as FMCG, telecom, broadcast, and e-commerce in the Indian and Middle East markets. Over the years, he has held important positions handling marketing, strategy and research for brands such as Snapdeal, Hindustan Unilever, Godrej, Wipro, Star TV and News, as well as Nokia.
Speaking about the expectations he has for this year’s OAA contest, he told Media4Growth, “I would love to see campaigns wherein there is use of tech, real time date usage or artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality (VR) – campaigns where you can see the science behind the plan as well as campaigns where the creatives are made for the medium and not just a re-hash of the print creative”.
The OAA 2023 contest is being organised in 7 categories, covering 23 sub-categories, and all OOH works executed in the period April 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023 will be eligible as entries for the contest.
All OAA 2023 entries are to be submitted online latest by May 15, 2023, and in specified templates available on the OAA webpage.
The ‘Brand Categories’ comprise 12 sub-categories covering:
- Automotive
- Clothing, Footwear & Accessories
- Consumer Durables
- E-commerce
- Financial Services
- FMCG
- Media & Entertainment
- OTT (Over The Top) Media Services
- Retail Brands
- Telecom
- Travel & Hospitality
- Other Categories that do not fall in the aforementioned sub-categories
The ‘Media Plan of the Year’ will be given in both National and Local sub-categories.
In the ‘Special Categories’ entries are invited in:
- Innovation of the Year
- Best Use of Ambient Media
- Green Initiative
- Activation
- Digital OOH
Besides, entries are invited in the ‘International’, and ‘Public & Social Services’ categories.
The ‘Campaign of the Year’ will be selected by the Jury from among the entries submitted in the ‘Brand Categories’.
The entries will be judged in two stages – online and in-person Jury meets, by a Jury comprising highly accomplished brand marketers and creative heads who have deep knowledge of OOH advertising.
The Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) 2023 metals will be given away at the OAA 2023 Awards function to be organised at the state-of-the-art Manekshaw Centre, Delhi on July 29 evening.
