Tejash Chheda, a seasoned media professional with over 18 years of experience, currently serving as General Manager and Head of Media at Sun Pharma, has joined the esteemed jury panel for the OOH Advertising Awards (OAA) 2025.
His extensive background includes working across diverse industries such as FMCG, Pharma, Broadcasting, and Retail. Known for bringing a sharp lens to both performance-driven campaigns and brand storytelling, Tejash’s expertise lies in navigating the evolving media ecosystem, optimizing channel mixes, and crafting high-impact communication strategies. Describing himself as “Strategic, Curious, and Collaborative,” Tejash is set to bring a comprehensive perspective to the OAA judging process.
Tejash expresses his enthusiasm for being part of the OAA jury, stating, “Being part of the OAA jury allows me to witness the pulse of innovation in outdoor advertising. I’m especially excited to see how brands are using OOH to drive storytelling, emotion, and measurable impact in an increasingly digital world.”
Regarding the role of AI and creativity in campaigns, he emphasizes, “While AI brings automation and insight, I’ll focus on how creatively and authentically it’s been integrated into campaigns — especially when it enhances the core message or emotional connect. I’ll also evaluate the balance between innovation and relevance to the brand’s objective.”
On the crucial balance between craft and impact when evaluating entries, Tejash shares his philosophy: “Craft reflects the soul of an idea, and impact reflects its purpose. I’ll aim to assess entries holistically — looking for ideas that are not only visually or conceptually powerful but also deliver tangible outcomes or behaviour shifts.”
He firmly believes in the importance of the OOH Advertising Awards for the industry, asserting, “OOH is one of the most dynamic and evolving media today. Recognising excellence through awards like OAA celebrates innovation, elevates standards, and showcases the power of the medium to inspire and influence in the real world.”
The Out-of-Home advertising industry is gearing up for its premier event, the 19th OOH Advertising Convention (OAC) 2025, taking place at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake on July 18-19, 2025. Under the theme “Mapping a New OOH-scape,” the convention will delve deep into the future of the medium, exploring cutting-edge technological advancements, shifts in consumer behaviors, and innovative creative approaches. The event will culminate with the prestigious OOH Advertising Awards (OAA) 2025 ceremony on the evening of July 19, 2025, dedicated to honoring the industry’s most outstanding achievements.
