Heart of the matter
The artworks were aptly placed to create the effect of a hole or a crack in the heart with a copy that revealed appalling facts and donation details.
Heart Disease is the number 1 killer of Australian kids less than 1 year old and yet very little is known about it. HeartKids Australia is a support group for families of children with heart disease who consult families whose kids are affected by the same. To help raise awareness and the much needed funds, HeartKids teamed up with agency SHEDcsc, Australia, to print these artworks on Earth Wrap and installed them in high traffic locations throughout Perth CBD in February, which is HeartKids awareness month. They began as a voluntary group of parents and individuals dealing with and concerned about the day to day realities of raising and caring for children with cardiac conditions. Today, the group has grown to be a strong organization with a presence in almost every state of Australia, as well as a National body.
