Rohit is a sales, advertising and marketing professional with experience of 22+ years, who started his career with LT Foods Ltd, which has Daawat Basmati Rice as its flagship brand with market leadership position in Delhi NCR.
Rohit Markanday , Dy. General Manager – Trade Marketing, Adani Wilmar, is part of the esteemed Jury for the Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) 2022 contest, which opened more than a month ago.
A sales, advertising and marketing professional with experience of 22+ years, Rohit started his career with LT Foods, which has Daawat Basmati Rice as its flagship brand with market leadership position in the Delhi NCR region. He then moved on to the marketing and branding department in the same organisation, where he spearheaded the largest retailer loyalty programme across the country.
Thereafter, Rohit took the plunge into advertising to gain understanding of the nuances of advertising communication and serviced various brands across FMCG, Foods, Mobile and B2B segments.
Rohit then moved on to head the Trade Marketing function in LT Foods and successfully implemented the sales & distribution processes proposed by Ernst & Young. He ideated many successful trade promotions, which resulted into 25%-30% volume growth.
He is currently heading the trade marketing and activation function along with sales and distribution function at Adani Wilmar. He is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies, managing the distributor life cycle of 5700+ distributors across the country, and developing new distribution in white spaces.
The OAA 2022 contest has drawn good response and participation from seven different award categories and 20+ sub-categories.
Winners of OAA 2022 will receive the coveted Metals at the Outdoor Advertising Awards function at Westin Mumbai Powai Lake hotel on August 18, 2022 evening, just after the conclusion of Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) 2022. The Awards will be given away by highly accomplished Brand Marketers, and International OOH leaders.
