Ad Policies & Regulations
New ad norms for Ludhiana rural areas being planned
The move is directed at rooting out unauthorised outdoor advertising
Advertising in the rural area of Ludhiana, which is beyond the ambit of the local urban body, will be soon be governed by a separate set of guidelines. As reported by Media4Growth earlier, illegal media units put up outside the municipal corporation’s jurisdiction is causing financial losses to those holding authorised media as well as the civic body.
The Minister for Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab Government. is therefore considering introducing advertising guidelines that are specific to this area.
Also, the Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) and panchayats there see advertising business adding their respective revenues and so have approached the government requesting for the formulation of ad guidelines for Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA) areas.
